This Privacy Policy explains how Sumit Kumar (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the EDIO Educators Android app or contact us for support.
By using EDIO Educators, you acknowledge the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
Account and authentication data
We collect your email address and authentication data when you use Google sign-in or email sign-in. This may include account identifiers, login tokens and information needed to secure your session. EDIO Educators does not ask for your Google password.
Educator profile information
You may provide your name, qualification, teaching experience, biography and profile photo.
Channels and uploaded content
We process channel details and content you create or upload, including video and audio files, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, images and related metadata.
Advertising and technical data
Google AdMob may collect or receive device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from an IP address, app interaction information, advertising data, diagnostics and consent choices. The exact data depends on your device, settings, region and advertisement type.
2. How we use information
- Create, authenticate and secure your account.
- Display and manage your educator profile and channels.
- Upload, store, organise and provide access to educational content.
- Operate, maintain and improve EDIO Educators.
- Respond to support requests and investigate technical problems.
- Prevent misuse and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
- Display and measure advertising through Google AdMob, subject to applicable consent requirements.
3. Providers and storage
- Supabase: provides authentication and database services. Account, profile, channel and content metadata may be processed or stored through Supabase.
- Internet Archive: is used to store uploaded video and audio media. Its applicable terms and privacy practices also apply, and visibility may depend on how content is uploaded or configured.
- Cloudinary: processes and stores profile photos, thumbnails and other images.
- Google AdMob: provides advertising and may process device identifiers, ad interactions and related technical data to serve, secure and measure ads.
These providers may process information in more than one country.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We share information with the providers listed above only as needed to operate EDIO Educators. Profile, channel and educational content intended for publication may be visible to users or the public, depending on available publishing and visibility settings.
We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or the rights and safety of others.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Security
Data may be processed and transmitted between EDIO Educators and connected providers using secure HTTPS connections. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Retention and account deletion
We retain data while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and enforce agreements.
You may request deletion through the public Feedback and Account Deletion page or by emailing salonabanti@gmail.com. We may verify account ownership first. Limited records may be retained where required by law or necessary for security and record-keeping.
7. EEA, UK and Switzerland advertising choices
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland, EDIO Educators may request consent before Google AdMob uses certain information for personalised advertising or measurement, where required by law.
Where available, you may choose personalised ads, non-personalised or limited ads, or adjust your choice through the consent or privacy options shown in the app. You may withdraw or change consent when that control is available. A change does not affect processing lawfully completed beforehand.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, request portability, or complain to a data-protection authority. Email us to exercise an applicable right; identity verification may be required.
8. Children’s privacy
EDIO Educators is intended for educators and is not designed for children to create accounts independently. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate authorisation.
9. Policy updates
We may update this policy when the app, providers or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and effective date on this page.
